The original “Every Essential Mix” set was taken down from soundcloud a few days ago. However, we were able to come across an alternative set, which has 886 of the essential mixes instead of 919. So, here I am cruising along through SoundCloud when I happen upon this 919 karat Diamond in the Rough. This is EVERY Essential Mix from 1993 – 2011. All 919 of them . I didn’t really know how to react to this masterpiece so I’m just gonna go ahead and put it up here, and let you clowns see what’s up. It’s a bummer summer is over, but I know this will tide me over for a looong time. Oh yeah, you can download all of them as well. Big ups to BBC 1 & Pete Tong. CHECK IT!

  10 steps to download all of the mixes:
  
  1. Download and install the Firefox addon DownThemAll!
  
  2. Restart Firefox (close all windows)
  
  3. Go to http://soundcloud.com/das-boy/sets/essential-mix (the link is found under the “info”-button on the right side of the embedded player)
  
  4. Right-click on an empty spot on the page (not a link/picture/etc.)
  
  5. Click on “DownThemAll!” in the dropdown-menu
  
  6. At the bottom of the new window that opens you’ll see a few choices; Save files in, Filters and Fast Filtering.
  
  6a. Chose where you want to save the files (click on the folder icon)
  
  6b. Under filter, check only for Audio (the flac-format is included among other audio-formats)
  
  6c. in Fast Filtering, enter “/download” (without my quotes) so that DownThemAll! only choses the download-links (ending with /download)
  
  7. Click “Start!” or “Add paused”. Since these files are so big, I recommend “Add paused”, so you have a bit more controll.
  
  (Why “Add paused”: Each time a download starts, DownThemAll! creates a temporary file equal the size of the whole file that’s gonna be downoaded. In this case, ~200-900MB files, and that can be a bit heavy, which may lead to temporary lags on the computer every time a new download starts.)
  
  7a. If you clicked “Add paused” a new window opens containing all the essential mixes waiting to be downloaded I recommend starting the first few one at a time, with a 4-5 minute intervall in between to avoid long lags everytime x downloads start.
  
  7b. If you clicked “Start!” a new window opens containing all the essential mixes, downloading a defined number at a time automatically You will probably experience a big lag in the begining, but it should even out/pass after a few mniutes.
  
  8. When your computer is responding you might want to enter Preferences (bottom right), and under the Network-tab chose how many files you wish to download at once from a server (Downloads per Server). Less = faster download of each mix. I use 4.
  
  9. Now you can just leave the computer for a few days (or “few” hours if you have 100Mbit+ broadband connection).

I noticed in the set for showtek it says “freaks on he thats how we ufck” gets censored and then another part after is bleeped out. But a song comes on before that basically the song is “HERE WE FUCKING GO!” repeated
