Too Chill Tuesday #13

24 Jan

Evening Jam Nation, it’s been a long, dramatic week for the interwebs; SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, MegaUpload, Filesonic, PB&J’s Mediafire, and Anonymous being straight thuggin. Time to step out of the stress and subdue the restraints. Got some very vibe-worthy beats for you today that stretch across a wide range of sounds.

Step into my office and enjoy the groove:

This first one is a sample of a recent Michael Cassette Remix. Taking Tate & Diamond’s original, Cassette is able to add that little extra je ne sais pas to give this track a much needed rounding out. Check out the three minute peek and then cop it on iTunes!

Tate & Diamond – Electrified (Michael Cassette Remix)

Taking it way down, let me present to you Aaron Static an Aussie producer who drops the tempo and cranks the groove. You should definitely check out his full soundcloud (click his name) but at the moment, pop this one on your headphones and let the beat carry you away.

Aaron Static – Amen Tune

Thankfully Furns doesn’t crank out track-after-track hoping that one will catch. Every single song that has been revealed to me has been an absolute winner! This one’s no exception. With sweet vocals, a unique melody to vibe to and a bass line that literally captures your heartbeat while bringing your pulse down – this is going to be repeated frequently in the coming days.

Before encountering our next track, I came across one entitled “The Standby Dreams of Robots”. Now, how could I pass-up a track by that name, sounds perfect, right??? WRONG! Intro is everything that I hoped it would be; melodic, dreamy, wonderful. At 0:58, this song drops in all the wrong way for the mood I’m in.  On any other day with the expectation of a bleeding eardrum, this would be a dope Wompday track. However! It’s Tuesday, so I’m trying to groove! That being said, let’s move on to some Skrillex…wasn’t being facetious about Skrillex either, check out this Exilica remix of Skrilly’s “Summit”. A very progressive track that has the definitive sounds of Sonny, but a deeper bass-line that brings it into the tolerable, grooving realm.

Who doesn’t like Biggie remixes?? With a strong reggae feel provided by the steel drums, this song has skyrocketed to the top of the HypeMachine charts and it’s no surprise why, with that perpetual groove that you can’t escape it.

If you still feel like you’re lacking, check out this incredible playlist that I stumbled across on 8tracks!
