“I wanted this mix to reflect the key characteristics of minimal, namely its stripped-down aesthetic while exploiting the use of repetition, but there are also a few tracks I included or remixed on-the-fly, which somewhat deviate from this style and the traditional four-to-the floor beat structure. Also, a lot of inspiration for working with minimal and techno came from the New York area, where I first started getting into this kind of sound after attending several Blkmarket warehouses parties in Brooklyn.”
