Third Party ft. Loleatta Holloway – Thank You [Preview]

All I can say is Thank You GMM for showing me what’s guaranteed to be a BOMB by Third Party & Loleatta. With a 1 minute preview I have instantly fallen in love with this super progressive and uplifting tune. I’ve had my eye on Third Party for a while now and believe me, these guys are the real deal. Since being signed to Size Records, the duo has shown no signs of slowing down. They’ve dropped major hits including ‘Feel’ and a remix to Tiesto’s ‘What Can We Do (Deeper Love)’. Simply put, I become a bigger fan of Third Party with each and every song they put out. Check out all of their songs and make sure you pick up the full version of Thank You when it drops on May 29th!

Laidback Luke ft. Martel – We Are The Stars (Club Mix)

Fresh out of the Mixmash Camp comes LBL’s ‘We Are The Stars’, which has summer anthem written all over it.  Alongside Luke’s electro synths are Martel’s simple, but verrry catchy vocals. Together this is a recipe for dance floor destruction – damn if this song doesn’t make you want to dance, it’s probably because you’re hard of hearing. It’s euphoric, it’s upbeat, and you gotta love the way Laidback Luke throws down on those drums. Heineken clearly knows a good thing when they see it as they decided to make ‘We Are the Stars’ their official anthem (which they demonstrated in their latest Dutch commercial). Good news, we’ve included the preview and the commercial below!

Eric Prydz Presents: EPIC Radio 001

As if Eric Prydz didn’t have enough on his plate already, here he comes with his first Official Podcast appropriately titled EPIC Radio. Between this, his newly released Mega Album, Pryda and his plans to headline IDentity Festival; I get the feeling he’s trying to make a statement to all those that thought he may have lost his touch. Make no mistake, this man is a legend and his productions are downright flawless. With his new podcast Prydz promises to give us loads of unreleased music such as his Very Private Remix of M83 – Midnight City. Alright we have to draw the line somewhere though, push play and don’t stop listening until you’ve come to the realization that Prydz is, has, and always will be one of the best producers in the game.

Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa are definitely among the best dj groups out there today and together they can do no wrong. If you’re looking for mellow, chilled out beats look elsewhere. These guys bring the highest energy to each and every one of their tracks and their latest release The Edge is no different. It’s a dirty, gritty, electro house monster that bangs in all the right ways. I can already tell that this is going to be a go to song for the wild summer that lies ahead. Thank you Hard Rock Sofa for another stellar podcast that’s going to be the only reason I make it through this week. The duo’s new podcast is loaded with gems from some of the biggest names in the game right now. Expect to hear the likes of Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Fedde Le Grand and many, many more along the way, not to mention an awesome remix to Qulinez – Troll by Sick Individuals. Swanky Tunes – Showland Podcast (Episode 1)

Words can not express how excited I am for the launch of Swanky Tunes’ new monthly podcast, SHOWLAND. To help kick things off, they enlisted Tiesto for a special Guest Mix. For 60 minutes these guys go off, delivering us banger after banger including a Mashup of the Month and Swanky New Tune. This podcast is the real deal throughout and I particularly enjoyed when they threw Qulinez’s remix of The Joy Formible  – A Heavy Abacus in the mix. Check this out now and you’ll be glad you did. Michael Brun & Special Features – Synergy [Teaser Video]

Michael Brun’s rise to fame is going to be a quick one if he keeps dropping tracks like Rise and his latest collab with bigtime UK DJ/Producer Special Features, ‘Synergy’. This time around Brun and Anderson tease us with a repetitive chord-and-drum filled build up that leads into the sexiest drop. The full version of this track is set to be released on April 16th and while the video doesn’t include the drop, luckily the soundcloud does! ‘Synergy’ has summer written all over it, so expect to hear this song at just about every festival you attend. Porter Robinson – Language

This song is simply Euphoric. Porter Robinson has just blessed us with his latest track Language and it wayyy exceded our already high expectations. This may be the best new song I’ve heard all year and easily my favorite track of Porter’s. Even he admitted to MTV that “‘Language’ is, I think, my favorite song that I’ve ever written,”.  At only 19 and with other monster productions, this guy is making a serious name for himself as a dominant force in electro. Pryda – SW4

It’s safe to say that Pryda is a staple in the world of electronic music. Whether he’s dropping songs under the name Eric Prydz, Cirez D, or Pryda you can damn well guarantee it’s gonna be a bomb! Currently, he’s working on a 3 disc album (Eric Prydz Presents Pryda) that is destined to be HUGE. Apparently 1 disc on the album will consist of unreleased material, while the remaining two discs will feature classics and re-edits. SW4 is one of the unreleased tracks that will be on disc one and if it is any sign of what’s to come I’m pumped. The album is set to be released on May 22 so check out Prydz’s facebook and twitter in the mean time for updates. Oh and don’t forget to check the complete 3 disc tracklist after the jump!

WMC Backtrack: Above & Beyond, Arty, and Mat Zo’s Group Therapy Live Sets 2012

Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Tour made it’s way to Miami just in time to kick off the amazing weekend-long festival we’ve come to know as Ultra. These guys are the Superheros of Trance and they certainly showed us why. Their performance was off the charts with some of  EDM’s freshest talent including Arty and Mat Zo, who our own [GMM] claims may be one of the greatest producers of our time. Although last week’s festivities are over and most of us are back to the school/work grind, these sets provide that straight feel good music to lift your spirits. Show us some love!

Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes – Apogee [Official Teaser]

Whenever Hard Rock Sofa and Swanky Tunes come together for a track you can expect it will be a banger. Hits like Quasar from Hard Rock Sofa and United by Swanky Tunes are proof of that. While the drop in Apogee is not as aggressive as we have come to expect, the synths more than make up for it. This song has serious anthem appeal and shows why both of these Russian super groups are a force to be reckoned with. Apogee will be available on Beatport April 2. Get on it!

Jerry Rekonious – 10th

2012 is set to be a breakout year for the 22 year old Swede, Jerry Rekonius. His first release of the year is a tracked called 10th that dropped on Oxygen Recordings and I assure you it is MASSIVE. Jerry delivers some serious big room vibes coupled with a dirty electro drop. The song has been supported by top-noch artists such as Fedde Le Grand, Tiesto and Markus Schulz. After listening to 10th check out his previous release Powahbunga and you’ll be a believer.
