Dutch superstar Nicky Romero is headed to VAIN THIS FRIDAY for his first ever Orlando performance. As one of the most exciting acts around right now, you’re definitely gonna want to start your summer off raging with Nicky courtesy of our friends over at The Evolve Group & Committee Entertainment. With a show at LIV on Thursday and a special perfomance at Sunset Music Festival on Sunday, you can bet Romero will be ready to rock. John Debo & LitteRok will be getting the night going while Smile For Camera artists Khan and MA-LESS supply the upstairs room with their weekly dose of Moombah. CounterPoint Lineup!

Today our friends at MCP & C3 Presents announced the Official Lineup up for CounterPoint Festival this fall in Atlanta, Georgia. The inaugural event will be taking place over three days at the end of September and marks the marriage of two these two amazing festival organizers who have made a name for themselves throwing Camp Bisco, BUKU and Lollapalooza (respectively). While our expectations were high, no one could have predicted the true amazaingness of CounterPoint’s lineup – which is sure to render the event as the premiere music festival in Georgia and the rest of the deep south next semester. Just the headliners alone are enough reasons to get out to Atlanta with Bassnectar, Avicii, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and Steve Angello all at the top of the bill. Pierce Fulton – 10/6 (That Should Do It) [Plus Bonus Track]

First off, let me just say that I’ve been waiting for this track ever since I heard Pierce rocking it poolside in Puerto Vallarta on his Chapter 1 Video. ‘That Should Do It’ is a true testament to Pierce’s depth as a producer – switching up his sound to a more mellow, glitched-out, feel good summer anthem with ridiculous samples, a humming bass line and a groovy piano riff that’ll keep you dancing right through the final days of spring semester. Released today for free along with another interesting track titled ‘West Egg’ that should definitely be added into your Pierce Fulton collection as well. Gotta love this guy’s choice in track names and we couldn’t be happier for the way his career is playing out. If you’re looking to catch Mr. Fulton live he’ll be at Amnesia in Miami, La Mouche in Montreal, Loaded Festival in Philly and Electric Beach at Santos Party House in NYC all before June 2nd…keep doing big things Pierce!

Autoerotique @ Tier Nightclub 5.3.12

Our favorite Orlando hotspot Tier Nightclub is kicking off another big weekend this Thursday May 3rd with Autoerotique. The Dim Mak Records duo, which hails from Canada of all places, has been crushing it all over the world lately and the boys are now on a run in the U.S. that includes stops at a couple colleges, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Dim Mak Studios in LA and even Tomorrowland! If you’re gonna do your research on Keith & Dave before checking out the show, don’t and just take our word for it. Just kidding…I think you’ll find their songs to be pretty epic, I know Tiesto, Benassi, Steve Aoki, Diplo and Laidback Luke do – with that hard, ground-thumping bass, quality vocals, and overall huge sound, it’s tough to ignore Autoerotique. Nicky Romero BBC Radio I Essential Mix

Nicky Romero checked in last night with Pete Tong for his legendary Essential Mix show on BBC Radio 1. From the very beginning the young dutch DJ got down to business and delivered two hours of some of the best sounding tracks in the industry. After his commanding performance at Ultra, this set is a friendly reminder that everyone should keep an eye on Nicky in the future with already so many great remixes and original tracks in the books. Included in the mix are some unreleased tracks, new bootlegs, classic Nicky Romero bangers and some of his personal favorites from Avicii, Fedde Le Grand, Deniz Koyu, Henrik B., Dirty South, Sander Van Doorn, Hardwell, Tommy Trash, Zedd and more! Nicky has truly entered the top realm within the global dance scene and his plan to absolutely kill it with every production he’s involved in seems to be working out quite nicely for him. CounterPoint Music Festival

More big news for the festival world came yesterday as our friends over at MCP Presents and C3 Presents announced they’ve joined forces to bring CounterPoint, a new 2 day music & arts festival, to Atlanta, GA this September 28th and 29th. The multi-stage festival with camping available will be held at the same location as the 2007 Echo Project; a scenic 350-acre Chattahoochee riverfront property just south of metropolitan Atlanta. In addition to a stellar music lineup, planned activities include an arts village, extreme sports demonstrations, a beer garden featuring local breweries, a food truck component, local chefs and a college football viewing area. You can expect this to be one of the most refreshing festivals yet as its produced by C3 Presents (Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival) and MCP Presents (Camp Bisco, Lights All Night), CounterPoint marker the first partnership for the two companies. Loaded Festival

As festival season starts to gain momentum, we wanted to highlight a new festival in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh called Loaded Festival that was organized by our friends over at Steez Promo. In less than a month Loaded will be bringing two stages of world-class musical talent to Pennsylvania. The two-night experience starts on May 12th in Philadelphia and comes to a close the following night in Pittsburgh. Steez Promo invites you to be a part of electronic music’s newest sensation as they host this massive multi-stage production in a much more intimate setting than usual. Day 1 at the Festival Pier in Philly will witness performances by Rusko, Flux Pavilion, Wolfgang Gartner, Dirtyloud, Downlink, J. Rabbit, Lucky Date, Mt. Hardwell Miami Aftermovie 2012

Today Hardwell released an after movie with amazing HD footage of both his Ultra performance and Revealed Label Night @ Set complete with a one-on-one interview where he showed his excitement, energy and passion for DJing. The video features his brand new track with Dannic titled ‘Kontiki’ (which was released yesterday) and teases everyone a little bit with Revealed’s next release ‘Raid’, a collaboration between Dyro & Rene Kuppens. Voted IDMA’s “Best Breakthrough DJ” of 2012, this video allows a personal look at Hardwell at his absolute best in Miami. Check out the song on Beatport below and look for tour dates after the jump!

Paper Diamond Announces New EP on Mad Decent

Over the weekend our friend Alex B (Paper Diamond) of Pretty Lights Music announced that his new EP Wavesight will be released on Mad Decent May 3rd. Since January of 2011, Alex has found himself traveling the globe with non-stop shows, festival plays and around the clock studio sessions. With one EP and a handful of big remixes already under his belt, Paper Diamond has secretly been stocking up over 100 original tracks and is currently collaborating with artists, singers, rappers and MC’s all over the country. Wavesight features 3 heavy-hittying original songs that push Alex’s versatility a little farther while still keeping that trademarked, bouncy Paper Diamond sound. Steve Angello and Size Records have announced a brand new monthly video series: Size TV. This all access show will allow viewers to go behind the scenes and travel around the world with their favorite Size Records Artists. Size TV aims to capture the creative process that goes into developing the hottest tracks from scratch in the studio, candid moments that fans typically never get to see and an inside look into what being a Size Records artist is all about. The debut episode of Size TV is available now and offers a pre-Miami Music Week look at Wayne & Woods, Tim Mason, Third Party, Qulinez and AN21 & Max Vangeli as they prepared for the massive Size Matters Pool Party that went down on March 25th…watch the premiere episode of Size TV above!

Shpongle Presents: The Masquerade at Roseland Ballroom, NYC. (4/20)

Shpongle is returning to the City with EOTO and Phutureprimitive for a massive 4/20 show that’s not to be missed. If you’re looking to turn an already epic day into something memorable, then I would definitely suggest checking out all that Shpongle has to offer. You can count on things getting pretty freaky that night, with Sphongle revealing ‘The Masquerade’, and EOTO bringing their Lotus stage to NY for the first time as well. In addition to this news break, we also have got a really tight 3 minute documentary on Phutureprimitive, courtesy of our friend Jason Mongue. If you’re looking for an extra-helping, we included one of our favorite Shpongle videos from Bonnaroo last year.
