Kid is crushing it, plain and simple: Justin Blau aka 3LAU released this little set yesterday and it BANGS. The 21 year old mixmaster/producer went in a more progressive direction this time compared to his last volume, (which I also included below). Kicking it off with Sander Van Doorn’s epic new release – ‘Nothing Inside’, 3LAU includes his newest remix of James Egbert’s ‘Back to New’ and even throws Robbie Rivera & Tommy Trash into the mix as well. I’m personally loving the more progressive style for Justin and thoroughly enjoying this above average tracklist. Be sure to catch Cosmo Klein – By Tonight (Nilson & the 8th hole remix) at around the 2:30 mark…too good, the drop will blow you away! In all: both volumes are comprised of two totally different styles, oh…and did I mention they’re FREE?! Enjoy!
ASH – PAPA (MAKJ EDIT)
21 May20 Year old producer Mackenzie Johnson, better known as DJ MAKJ, just sent us a FREE edit this weekend of ASH’s, ‘PAPA’. Basically MAKJ does what he does best: adds some serious and much needed bass along with some attitude to top it off; I feel like your average speakers aren’t worthy enough to bump his productions unless you can really feel those basslines, unreal…Mackenzie let us know that he’ll be releasing Another Bootleg Pack on his birthday, June 25th, which you know we will grab for you guys the second it drops!

Knife Party- Internet Friends (unofficial video)
16 May
Some fans of Knife Party’s epic banger ‘Internet friends‘ decided to do an unofficial music video for the track and all I have to say is: it is certainly post worthy for you guys. Glad someone gave this song a video considering it’s one of this years biggest hits and is constantly dropped by everyone and anyone. The Knife Party boys themselves gave a shoutout to the vid on their Twitter today, simply stating: “this is so fucking cool, much better than the video we commissioned (and rejected)”. Let us know what you guys think! @pnutandjams

R3hab- The Bottle Song (Remixes by Darth & Vader, Dyro, DANNIC, and D-Wayne)
8 May
Afrojack’s Dutch House Label Wall Recordings dropped 4 different remixes of R3hab’s ‘Bottle Song‘ yesterday from the likes of Dyro, D-Wayne, Darth & Vader & DANNIC (yea try and say that bad boy 4 times fast). They’re all unique and represent each artists different individual styles while at the same time complimenting the original. However, the fact that they all dropped on the same day gives us a chance to really put them up against one another and hear which artist nailed their interpretation of the track. Peep these remixes and get the download links after the jump!
Sander Van Doorn & Mayaeni – Nothing Inside [Preview]
8 May
What a HUGE release today from Sander Van Doorn & Mayaeni titled ‘Nothing Inside‘, which absolutely rocked Miami Music Week and has left us in anticipation of the track ever since. Mayaeni’s retro, soothing and soulful chops compliment Sander’s uplifting anthem and perfectly executed chords. Not a whole lot to add other than this track is a must-have so go score it on Beatport now!

Laidback Luke- ‘Beautiful World’ & ‘Out The Blue’ Remixes
1 MayLast night Laidback Luke dropped these two brand-spanking new snippets of his take on Tiesto & Mark Knight ft. Dino’s ‘Beautiful World,’ and Subfocus’s ‘Out the Blue.‘ As usual, multifaceted LBL delivers two totally different sounds and styles; while ‘Beautiful World‘ is more big room tech, he turns the tables around and comes back at us with the dirty dubbed-out house melodies in ‘Out the Blue.‘ After absolutely wrecking Ultra with one of my personal favorite sets, it’s good to see he’s still hard at work delivering the goods! Peep the soundclouds below for the two previews of these new tracks!

James Egbert – Back To New (3LAU Remix)
30 Apr21 year old mixmaster/producer Justin Blau (aka 3lau) has been absolutely running train wrecking through campuses all over the U.S. on his college invasion tour, and he’s made it more than clear that 2012 is his year. The Las Vegas native and current student started off perfecting mash-ups or remixes almost a year ago and plans on dropping his debut LP later this year with original tracks…trust me, its going to be huge! Today Justin finally released his highly anticipated remix of James Egbert’s ‘Back to new’, that doesn’t disappoint. What’s really inspiring is that all proceeds from this remix go towards pencils of promise, which is a non-profit organization that strives to build schools for underprivledged children abroad, in fact- whatever is made through Beatport purchases, he’s even going to double out of his own pocket. Overall conclusion: this remix is a destined hit and we all know you jammers have sinned this past weekend so let’s use some of our love for EDM towards the greater good!

Deadmau5- Closer Rev.2 & Fn Pig
27 AprSeems like Deadmau5 is hard at work in the studio and there have been several live streams this month for fans to witness it. Although he claims they’re still ‘works in progress’, Joel recently released these two tracks on his soundcloud, which should not be overlooked. After the lengthy intro, ‘Closer Rev’ kicks it into gear with that textbook Mau5 sound Joel pulls off oh so naturally. ‘Fn Pig’ completes the pack as it builds with these euphoric strums that intensify into a totally different sound which you’ll need to hear to believe. Overall my conclusion is short: these new Deadmau5 tracks have some great vibes. Enjoy!

Sebastien Drums ft. Niles Mason – French Rules (Hot Mouth Remix)
25 AprFor my jammers that respect the groovier house with infectious builds and swift electro punches, Stealth Records brings us: Jon Pegnato, otherwise known as Hot Mouth. Jon started Hot Mouth in 2009 and released original tracks, collaborations and remixes on InStereo Recordings, Simma, Play Me, PBR and Dirty Fabric and gained several Beatport Top 10 hits that year. Due to the success of his Hot Mouth production work, he was asked to collaborate with, and ultimately join LA Riots in late 2009. Now that LA Riots has done so successfully these past few years, Jon returns to Hot Mouth to continue developing his original style of happy baselines and jumpy beats which he delivers in his most recent remix of Sebastian Drums and Niles Mason’s ‘French Rules.‘

Wolfgang Gartner – Redline
17 Apr
Everyone knows I love me some Wolfgang Gartner and on a slow tuesday like this, it’s just the thing to chipper me up! ‘Redline‘ was ripped off an Italian producer, Henry John Morgan’s podcast, so not much has been released about the track other than it’s projected to be dropped sometime in May. The fast tempo bassline hits you right out of the gate and is greeted by some uplifting builds that make for a great dance track. This definitely displays the lighter side of Wolfgang with an almost Aviciiesque sound to it, the song just makes me happy. If this one doesn’t make you smile, then you probably don’t like puppies either….just sayin.

Porter Robinson vs. Coldplay- Every Language is a Waterfall (Teets & Henry Fong Mashup)
12 AprI’m really excited about this post because the artist is a close homie of the PB&J™ team and certainly deserves the recognition. Our boy Stephen Wright, aka Teets, has been making mashups/bootlegs since early 2011 and man does he have an ear for stitching together an array of vocals with popular sounds and dance tracks to get people fucking moving! Lately he’s been down in sunny Winter Park, FL making original productions that I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at…ummm lets just say 2012 will be big for him. We have an artist feature coming later this month on Teets but for now just snag this free mashup he did of Porter Robinson’s latest banger ‘Language’ with Orlando Producer/DJ Henry Fong (DEFEP)!
Get at the Teets’ soundcloud for more epic mashups/bootlegs.

Knife Party- Fire Hive (Krewella Fuck on me Remix)
11 AprChicago’s musical trio Krewella (comprised of producer Rain Man and vocalists, Jahan and Yasmine) released this epic dancefloor sex bomb last night which I’ve been itching to post all day. I have such a crush on these girls, they don’t hold back and their vocals can do no wrong when paired with their usual taste of tough dubstep and wicked bass drops. 2012 is shaping up to be a huge year for these guys so be on the lookout for Krewella in a city near you when they announce tour dates on facebook and twitter soon!
