Dr. Lektroluv – Live in Brazil (Continuous Mix) [What PB&J Has Been Missing]

2 May

I haven’t been posting on PB&J™ much at all this year, and as a result my site has been lacking some of the dirty shit it used to serve you on a weekly basis. I found this gem of a mix while slaving away in the library in desperate need of some rocket fuel to keep me going. It came to me in the form of Belgium-born electro house DJ, Dr. Lektroluv. Live from a show in Brazil, Lektroluv gives us an hour and ten minutes of the filth that the world has been missing. Tracklist after the jump.

Swedish House Mafia – Greyhound (Original Mix) + Music Video

12 Mar

Here’s the latest highly anticipated single from the Swedish House Mafia along with its music video that was made in association with Absolut Vodka. In my opinion, ‘Greyhound’ is a pretty standard SHM track. Thankfully, the standard these days is extremely high, so what we have here is another one of those epic progressive festival tracks that is going to make its way into most sets this year starting with Miami Music Week – learn it well my friends.

Coco Cosette Mix for Ultra Music Festival & AERIAL7 DJ Competition

23 Feb

We love supporting the up an comers here on the J and Coco Cosette is a talent that we have been behind since the beginning. From her always different, surprising, and epic monthly mixes to some (top secret) productions, I assure you this chick can do it all. This time around she needs help from the Jam Nation in getting as many plays as she can for this mix on her mixcloud page in order to make it to the next level of the Ultra Music Festival & AERIAL7 DJ Competition. She only needs a measly 200 plays, which we are positive she will pass by a mile, so start listening and sharing to all your friends!

For more from Coco you can check her out on facebook and soundcloud, and you can always follow her posts for our friends at I Can Give You House.

Dada Life – Dada Land 001 [3/1/2012, Sirius XM Radio Show]

13 Feb

Dada Life’s new Sirius XM Radio show is exactly what you’d expect from these two epic mother fuckers – pounding electro from start to finish. Not only is this one hell of an hour of music, but you’ll also get to hear some hilarious commentary from Stefan and Ollie as well as the Sirius XM host over top of it. Dada Life seems to always be ahead of the game with their live shows, from gigantic inflatable bananas and champagne bottles to giving out smiley face masks to the entire crowd, and now with their new radio show Dada Land, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these guys. Listen to Dada Land 001 below, track list after the jump. You can also hit up DadaLife.com for their January 2012 Mix (which we posted on our Facebook page if you missed it).

The Jam Drop #12 + Mad Decent’s Transformers in the Hood Mixtape [Electronic/ Hip Hop]

3 Feb

Thinking I had some homework to do before 5PM, I wandered into the library only to find it’s not due until sunday. But since I’m here I’ve decided to shell out a couple of jams I’ve gathered this week, as well as the highly anticipated mixtape from Mad Decent featuring Diplo, FKi, Heroes x Villains & Mayhem, and plenty of up-and-comers titled, ‘Transformers in the Hood’. Rap fans: don’t want to miss this one, I promise. Here’s a little taste of the mixtape:

Track: Stuntin’ (feat. Retro Su$h!) (Prod. by FKi)

The Jam Drop #11

30 Jan

The Jam Drop is back after quite the long hiatus and we apologize for that. Hope everyone has been enjoying the rest of what PB&J has to offer. As for me, I’ve been lost in The Magician’s famed Magic Tapes for the past two months. Anyway, as the school year rolls on and I’m getting settled back into the groove of not going out every night I’ll be doing my best to bring you this feature on a more regular basis. I do have my standards though and if the music isn’t there, the Jam Drop won’t be either. Enough of the bullshit excuses though right? Step on into my office..

The Jam Drop # 10

30 Dec

Hey everyone! Remember me? I’ve been neglecting my precious PB&J very hard and for that I apologize. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of disco so I haven’t been keeping my finger on the pulse of everything else like I normally do. Over the past few weeks I have managed to gather enough tracks to put together the 10th JD, but it’s definitely on the mellower side, which follows suit with my mood lately. I hope everyone had a fun/safe holiday and is ready to kick off the new year at one of the many EDM festivals happening worldwide. Enter the post below. Over and out.  (more…)

The Jam Drop #9 + Breakbot Live Set @ Rock’n Solex 2011

2 Dec

As the Funkmaster stated earlier today, finals are only one weekend away for us down here in FL, and I gotta say I’m not gonna let that effect my weekend shenanigans one bit. It’s been a while since the last Jam Drop or any posting from me at all I’m sorry for that but hopefully this weekend’s playlist will make up for the lost weeks. Huge tracks from the usual suspects as well as some big surprises from Le Castle Vania, DatA, Lazerdisk Party Sex, and Daddy’s Groove. I’ve also included an amazing french disco set from Breakbot thats perfect for your sunny day and/or late night. See you inside.

The Jam Drop #8

4 Nov

The Jam Drop is back again and man was it a good fucking week for music. Sometimes I really have to scour the internet to find tracks that are worthy of this feature, but this time it was just too easy. We’ve got the Dada Sauce, we’ve got the most epic Strobe remix I’ve ever heard, we’ve got the Bingo Players, the Kaskade, the Biggie Smalls, the peanut butter, and the fucking Jam. Hope everyone had a great week and has an even better weekend. Play safe Jammers, over and out.

Jack Beats BBC Radio One Essential Mix Live @ Creamfields 9/3/2011

3 Nov

This one’s from Creamfields back in August of this year but I just came across it a few days ago and I’ve been kicking myself for that ever since. I’ve seen Jack Beats twice now at Hard Haunted Mansion in 2010 and again at Coachella earlier this year and they always throw down a festival changing set. Just when your getting tired of hearing the same big name tracks dropped over and over in live mixes, Jack Beats comes out and gives you something you’ve never heard before. This Essential Mix is filled with their signature wobbles, remixes of the likes of Florence and the Machine, Passion Pit, and La Roux to name drop, and of course, some of the dirtiest beats known to man. This is a must download for Jack Beats fans and if your still living under the rock of main stream house music I highly suggest you give this set a listen at your next house party. Get Down.
