First off, I want to apologize to Caspa. Last week Steve Aoki came to Roxy and absolutely murdered it…the show was sold out and out of control. Steve was up to his usual antics, throwing cakes in kids faces, crowd surfing, and showering people with vodka (not champagne this time). I was hoping for the same turnout for Caspa, but Orlando dubstep fans seriously disappointed. Possibly because Aoki and Bassnectar were here last week, but it’s no excuse. Caspa is a legend. The dubstep artist out of West London has been producing and DJing since 2006. Rusko and Caspa shaped the dubstep scene. Regardless, last night might have been the heaviest show I’ve ever witnessed. It was UK dub at its finest. Non-stop, heavy-hitting bass. But, he even managed to mix in his “I Remember” remix and “Love Never Dies”… the place went crazy. Also noteworthy: (1) he has a massive black bodyguard that stands behind him just crushing vodka all night and (2) he carries his headphones in a Loui Vuitton satchel…Boss. Below is a compiled list of my favorite Caspa tracks, as well as some of the tracks he played last night. Enjoy!
