Interview:

How and when did you guys start producing?
Coincidentally we both started producing in 2001, and we started producing together in the summer of 2003. Our first two efforts got
picked up by Armin Van Buuren, and we’ve been going ever since
What lead you to make the type of music your make presently?
Almost ten years of history! What we produce today is really not any different from what we did back in 2003. We make tracks that have made us happy as producers. We realized early on that we could make different things sound great and we’ve been experimenting ever since!
What was your first piece of equipment?
Bo: JP-8000, Dom: A PC with Sony Acid software.
How hard is it creatively as a duo? How hard is it to physically DJ as a duo?
It’s been a blessing for both of us becauase we’ve always improved on each other’s ideas. There’s been plenty of creative friction through the years but ultimately it has always helped make the final product better.
What are your thoughts on how quickly electronic music has risen to popularity in the U.S.?
It’s great to know that kids are banging their heads to the beats we’ve been touting for almost a decade now!
What’s your favorite venue to play overall?
Nothing can top the energy of an arena filled gig!
What’s some of your favorite hardware/software to use when producing? How long does it usually take you to create a track?
We both use Logic on our mac desktop and laptop. Some of our favorite synths are the Sylenth and the Massive. There’s really no set time on creating a track because its varied from a few hours to a few months.
This summer seems huge for you guys; do you have anything special coming up?
We’re working hard on alot of new music and touring this summer.
How do you guys usually prepare for a show?
We talk about some of the tracks we are gonna play before our show. We keep a large pile of tracks and every set varies from night to night.
Who are your influences? What DJ/DJ’s would you want to collaborate with in the future?
We’ve been influenced by just about every genre of music. We used heavy rock influence in alot of our trance productions. Our new music is influenced by just about all the great new talent on the scene from Nicky Romero, Afrojack, Axwell, Jochen Miller, Gregori Klossman, and the list goes on.
We are super excited about the new label! What can we look forward to from Lights N Loaded Records?
Great music, Filo & Peri music. It’s the music we want to produce and uninfluenced by 3rd party opinions.
Bonus Question: Would you guys rock a PB&J Tank top if we sent you one?
YES!
