This month, the hard-hitting Canadian dubstep duo more passionately referred to as Zeds Dead paid the Red Bull studios in London a visit to work on some highly anticipated new material. While they were there, the boys took the time to create some new beats, moving away from their Hip-Hop roots and demonstrating how it feels to have their drum and bass, electro, and rock-infused music ride the world-conquering wave of euphoric dubstep. If you’ve never seen these two live, it’s a treat…every track is meticulously picked and each drop literally rattles the crowd into submission. Having received praise from the likes of Rolling Stone and Mad Decent, DC & Hooks have appeared at some of this year’s most influential festivals including: Coachella, Lollapolooza, Electric Zoo, CounterPoint and even Mad Decent’s Block Party. Huge shout out to Red Bull, this whole ‘Introducing’ series they’ve got going on is great – the episodes are well shot, they feature sick artists (like Bondax) and prove that Red Bull has yet another spot at contemporary culture’s dinner table.
