It seems like no matter what dance music does, it can never get away from its polarizing friend/enemy, Molly. Whether you agree with Cedric Gervais (and seemingly Quintino) and think she’s just misunderstood, want to ride her coat tails back to popularity like Madonna, or you’re sick of her bullshit all together and want to focus on your own music like Deadmau5, she’s virtually inescapable in the world of EDM. Looking into the track, Quintino doesn’t mix things up too much in his reworking of Gervais’ big room hit, but he does let it stray away from Cedric’s snare-driven Dutch roots and twerks the melodies for what I would describe as the American palette — louder, more tonal synthesizers, a lower drop and a nice ride out for all us DJ’s who need a beat to mix out of…remember jammers, whatever and (whoever) you’re into, be safe. A PSA from PB&J.
