Seemingly unstoppable for 2012 thus far, the up and about Dutchman, Nicky Romero, looks to be rising the ranks of modern Dance music at a pace unprecedented by no other. Reuniting with friend and fellow collaborator, David Guetta, for round three of their old school/new school affair with the long awaited and eagerly anticipated ‘Oval’.

Venturing away from the more conventional and familiar territory of their Sia infused vocal Jack Back debut, ‘Oval’s digitally painted complexion of crunching leads and a fresh mechanical beat rings reminiscent of ‘Metropolis’, an earlier collaborative work proving to be a strong follow-up piece. Coming off a summer that has been star-studded with amazing performances alongside fellow artists such as the Swedish House Mafia at Milton Keynes, and the Tomorrowland Festival, David Guetta and Nicky Romero’s first joint release on Protocol marks a special and distinct apex in the quality of the work that is continuing to flow in 2012.
