LNTG or Late Nite Tuff Guy, is the current alias for Australia’s former HMC. Real name: Carmelo Bianchetti; he pioneered house and early techno music, practically bringing house to Australia in 1991 when he formed Juice Records. Though some of his earlier, and more innovative work in house music may not be obvious or apparent to the everyday listener, Carmelo has shifted gears and made a fairly sizable mark with his LNTG alias, mainly focusing on disco edits. He released the full previews to these tracks on his soundcloud earlier this summer, but has just recently released them on Razor-n-Tape Records.
The first is long edit of ‘Controversy’ by Prince, which has quickly risen to my most played list for the past week – definitely a keeper. The second is a retake of Juicy’s ‘Sugar Free‘, maxing out the potential of that late nite groove melody. There’s a difference feel between the two tracks LNTG put together for this release, but as cheesy as it sounds, they’re both timeless in my book. Check em!

Today we communicated to our colleagues in Korea that we plan to close Yahoo!’s Korean business at the end of this year. Since 1997, our team in Korea has provided high-quality editorial content and services, and has built a successful search advertising network. We’re proud of the work they’ve done. Despite the hard work of the team, the Korean operation has faced serious and growing challenges over the past few years that now make scaling our business very difficult. Ultimately, today’s announcement is part of our effort to focus our resources on building a financially strong, global business that’s set up for long-term growth and success.

He’s driven by making Instagram into a big place where people network with their photos. “I think, if anything, the experience from selling this company is to focus on the things that get you up in the morning.” The Facebook deal is one part of making sure Instagram is going to be around in 50 years, because it allows him to continue building a good product without worrying about how to make it into a profitable business.
