If Steve Aoki’s Tour Rider tells us anything, it might be something we already knew: that he’s a definitively wild guy. What absurdity cannot be gleaned from his penchant for clean underwear, inflatable rafts, and premier champagne, is pretty clear in his music. Mr. Aoki takes Girls’ Generation; a nine-piece, all female, South Korean pop group and turns one of their chart-toppers into a shrieking tech-house anthem. Simple bridges and sing-along synthesizers? Meet a stabbing, screaming drop that would make Dave Grohl head bang like he was listening to Deadmau5 at the Grammies.
