We’ve finally begun to see the world of EDM transition to the foreground of the music industry, and what better way than a conference to let the people know there’s way more to come. The inaugural EDMbiz Conference, sponsored by Insomniac Events, will be held today through June 7th at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. As part of the Electric Daisy Carnival, the conference is positioned to unite a variety of music moguls to incite further progression in the EDM terrain.
The heavy schedule includes discussions covering topics such as brand integration and EDM connectivity. Artist panels include our beloved Kaskade, Steve Angello and the Swedish duo Rebecca and Fiona. Keynote speakers include CEO of Live Nation Michael Rapino, Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records Craig Kallman and Matthew Adell, CEO of Beatport. Jam packed with an A-list roster and a few pool parties too, I say they’re doing something right. All in all, this conference is the business. “It’s cool for both of us to be here at this moment and enjoying the successes of the music and just seeing something we love so much, you know, garner the respect that I’ve felt it’s deserved all along,” the humble Kaskade says to conference host Jason Bentley.
