Oh how I love the summer time. It’s when all the funk comes out to play. Singles become remixes, and remixes become jams. With that in mind, Adrian Lux & Blende have reworked the now seemingly irrelevant but undoubtedly talented Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” into a funky, disco-electro (WHAT?) jam that’s just slow enough to play while the sun is shining. Staccato keys mesh nicely into squeaky, scratchy synthesizers and Ms. Del Rey’s lethargic vocals are the perfect finish to a track that is most assuredly too cool for school.
