UK’s Dave Spoon has built quite the reputation for himself in the past year with his side project-turned full time devotion, Shadow Child. Garage and UK bass have been constants in his developing sound as he seems to front the growing movement surrounding London’s Moda label. I liken his style to a big room house producer, sans cheesy vocals and lazer synths. Instead, expect relentless bass lines and simple yet infectious 808 and 909 samples. He uploaded this mix for Troupe London yesterday and I’ve completely ignored Breakbot’s new mix to have this on repeat in my office for a full 24 hours.
